Since 1939, the main activity of Laboratorios Argenol has been the manufacture and sale of Silver-based products, whose antimicrobial properties are widely used in the Pharmeceutical Industry.

Throughout its long history, Laboratorios Argenol has acquired broad experience in the manufacture of Silver Colloids such as Collargol, Proteinate, Vitellinate, Targesine and Targesine with borax. As a result, we have developed a strong work capacity as well as achieving a high standard of quality in our products and production methods.

Nowadays, our Silver Colloids are considered the best on the market. The proof of this can be found in our satisfied and faithful customers in countries all around the world such as the USA, Japan, Germany, France, Russia and others who have placed their trust in us for over 65 years. It should come as no surprise, then, that Laboratorios Argenol was awarded the 2001 Exportation Prize by the Zaragoza Chamber of Commerce.

In 1989 a new group of investors joined the company with the aim of expanding its activities. New personnel were recruited and more projects started.As a result, Tannic Acid derivatives such as Casein Tannate F, Casein Tannate S and Diacetyltannate were developed.

Other silver-based products can be found on our product list. Silver Iodide, used as a weather-modifying agent (prevention of hailstorms, snow production) in cloud seeding activities, is an example. In 1993, a new division of Laboratorios Argenol was created, which focussed on the development of conductive silver preparations, silver powders and silver flakes for the Electronics and Glass Industry. Moreover, other products based on the properties of Silver deposited onto inorganic inert substrates were manufactured.

In recent years, we have included antimicrobial additives, Fosfargol and Zeargol, to our product list.These products can be incorporated in polymers or other kinds of material for various final uses.
