Nowadays, the number offields of application for Silver are infinite.However, the pharmaceutical industry continues being the most important.The use of Colloidal Silver is well known in various branches of Medicine.For example, Colloidal Silver eye drops are used in Ophthalmology, and Silver pomades are used in Urology-Gynecology.

 

One of our oldest products is a Silver-basedintesinal astringent called RONO.It has been used since the 1940s to prevent diarrhoeas.Today, it can be an important alternative in the treatment of intestinal problems, occurring mainly in underdeveloped countries through ingestion of contaminated food and water.Tannates (Caseine Tannate F, Caseine Tannate S and Diacetyltannate) are also used in the pharmaceutical industry for their astringency, although these products do not contain Silver.

 

In addition, new and useful applications have been developed as a result of the incorporation of Silver additives, such as Fosfargol and Zeargol, into Plastics and Textiles.With such materials, it is possible to manufacture a great number of products such as Antimicrobial Catheters, surgical material and clothes, and antimicrobial paint and utensils for hospitals.

 

Silver as an antimicrobial agent has numerous applications in the field of Cosmetics, both for its protective as well as its curative properties.
